Typical Input window for correction is +/-320 – 470Vac.

Airtel engaged Powerex for the provision of 120 units of 20kVA, 20units of 30kVA Outdoor AVR for reliable facility mains regulation at their different base stations spread across Nigeria too numerous to itemize. Input window for correction is +/-30% at 400Vac reference. Solution has proven very reliable after years of delivery and field service.

Brolaz Projects
Brolaz Projects (Pty) SA needed an expert firm to handle the deployment of remote telemetry system at their client’s (Helios Towers Nigeria, HTN) cell sites at different parts of Nigeria. Powerex rose to the occasion with rapid deployment and implementation involving telemetry cabling, installation of monitoring interface devices / components, and commissioning, at 40 GSM cell sites, comprising both digital and analogue status monitoring / measurements, with GPRS data relay to the NOC in Lagos.

Powerex Limited was responsible for the supply, installation & commissioning of Parallel 2 x 60kVA +10kVA modular UPS at different locations, configured in vertical and horizontal redundancy; modular in 10kVA steps and scalable up to 100kVA on each chassis. Each UPS was 70kVA operating as 60kVA (capacity) + 10kVA (redundancy), installed in 1+1 parallel redundancy per location, i.e, 70kA + 70kVA parallel. Three sites in Abuja, Lekki, and Opebi had the unique opportunity of that level of high-availability solution, delivered.

Airtel
The requirement for this project was a highly reliable OUTDOOR AVR to come equipped with galvanic isolation and neutral protection. Input voltage range was 280-520Vac, L-L. Powerex provided a rugged solution with the supply, installation & commissioning of Outdoor 200kVA AVR combined with 200kVA D/Y Isolation Transformer. The system came with 100% capacity rating across the entire input voltage range.
