Automation and Power Control

Whether your facility needs fresh installation, upgrade on existing one or optimize your current systems in order to derive utmost value from them, our tailor-made Automation, Power Control and Remote Status Monitoring solution can help you achieve those objectives, and even more.

We design, integrate and deploy different ranges of Automation and Power Control solutions, as required.

Our Assur® range of power control and automation products includes Power Assur, Phase Assur, Status Assur, among others. The product designs feature optional intelligent functions; friendly or interactive user / operator interface, protection, monitoring, reporting etc.

Below are some projects previously undertaken in this area:

  • Design, integration and Deployment of different mains protection panels for critical power supply with active monitoring and status reporting for over-/under-voltage, frequency, earth fault, phase loss, surge protection, phase error auto-correction. Local alarm: audio-visual; Remote alerts via 3G (Multinational Upstream Oil & Gas Client)
  • Provision & Commissioning of 1,600A Mains Control Panel with auto-phase correction. (Remarks: Oil & Gas Regulatory Client)
  • Provision & Commissioning of monitored Surge protection panels across different client locations. (Multi-branch Bank)

Status Assur® system

The Status Assur system is a troubleshooting asset in the unlikely event of issues with your equipment / installation. It features an interface that clearly indicates what is wrong where and helps shorten turn-around / resolution time during faults on monitored facilities. Application areas cover virtually all major enterprise or critical systems like UPS, surge arrestors, power and environmental parameters monitoring, breaker / switchgear operating status, generators, etc

Phase Assur®

Our Phase Assur® systems are designed to monitor and mitigate Phase Reversal issues and protect the facilities where they are installed against this sometimes catastrophic, evasive incident. An occurrence of phase sequence error will disrupt normal supply to 3-phase loads notwithstanding power quality improvement measures such as voltage stabilizers and UPSs that are in place.

Phase sequence reversals occur whenever there is a change in power supply source and even if uninterruptible or standby power sources have been largely invested in, it can still pose danger because conventional solutions cannot address phase sequence error problems.

Some of the critical areas where it poses serious threats are:

  • Large UPS Systems and Data Centres
  • HVAC Systems
  • Elevators in commercial facilities
  • Industrial facilities with motor-driven machines
  • Hospitals (MRI scanners, X-Ray machines and other critical major machines
